M-BIA Club Berlin
Under the S-Bahn arches at Alexanderplatz, we run a club which we design according to our own vision of progressive nightlife.
We have consciously chosen to remain musically open. Techno, hard techno, psytrance, trance, and new progressive electronic genres all find a place with us if they convince us.
New energy, new stimuli, and new impulses belong on the dance floor for us. Sometimes harder, sometimes more psychedelic, sometimes surprisingly different. However, only the right concept prevails – which means finding it.

STORY
A CLUB AT ALEXANDERPLASTE
M-BIA is located in the heart of Berlin, directly under the railway arches at Alexanderplatz. For us, this location is part of the city's character, a city whose nightlife has thrived for decades on doing things differently, pushing boundaries, and trying out new ideas.
It's precisely this change that interests us. Sometimes it's a new sound, sometimes a new artist, a collective, or people with entirely new ideas. Over many years, a diverse range of promoters, artists, communities, and guests have shaped M-BIA.
This openness is part of the club's DNA: giving space to change while still maintaining its own unique style. We consciously chose to run a club that knows its history while simultaneously looking to the future.
Our participation in Rave The Planet and Berlin Pride is part of this philosophy. We actively shape club culture beyond our own venues and see ourselves as part of a scene that brings people together, facilitates exchange, and creates space for self-expression, new perspectives, and shared celebration. This also includes taking responsibility, addressing problems, and actively participating where we believe change is necessary.
We are proud of what has been created in Berlin. Even more important to us is where we can contribute.
SOUND AS LANGUAGE
Music is the starting point for everything we do at M-BIA. Our dance floors bring together techno, bounce, trance, tekk, uptempo, psytrance, and many other electronic genres. We're interested in pushing boundaries. When different scenes meet and influences merge, that's the starting point for something new. Above all, music has to create one thing for us: positive energy.
Our language is the bass. It has to be felt. It's the foundation for the right feeling at M-BIA. That's what we're known for.
Toys like our lighting system are just as essential. From classic moving heads to laser bars or 3D laser animation in every imaginable color. One of these moments is our legendary Goa Indoor Festivals every Saturday with festival decorations, blacklights, and a light show. Our music is meant to move people. That's exactly why we build our nights.
TOGETHER ON STAGE
Our club thrives on the people who visit. Every night, diverse backgrounds, languages, and perspectives converge here. This very diversity is what makes Berlin so special to us, and it's an integral part of M-BIA. We see ourselves as a place where people can celebrate together and engage in conversation. Mutual respect and a clear understanding of consent are fundamental to our culture.
Through our club and our energy, we want to encourage people to discover new commonalities and not focus on differences.
GOA, SPACE AND ATMOSPHERE
Indoor festivals have been an integral part of M-BIA for many years. We have a particular affinity for Goa and Psytrance, which is why we have an international focus. Today, we collaborate with artists, promoters, labels, and booking agencies from numerous countries, connecting international acts with the Berlin scene. From European bookings to artists from Asia, the Middle East, and even North and South America or Africa, artists are warmly welcomed and have already been featured in our lineups.
This continuity is also supported by our audience. Guests travel from Hamburg, Schwerin, Stuttgart, Warsaw, and far beyond to our indoor festivals to celebrate together with our Berlin audience at Alexanderplatz. This has created a community that extends far beyond Berlin.
At the same time, we are aware of our responsibility within the Berlin Goa scene. Together with our promoters, we give space to diverse musical styles, from established sounds and progressive developments to new subgenres and experiments. Variety, new inspiration, and a distinctive style are just as important to us as decoration, design, and atmosphere.
With the M-BIA Club, we have created a venue within the scene where indoor festivals can be held regularly, reaching audiences in Berlin, Eastern Germany, and beyond.
BERLIN CLUB CULTURE IN PROCESS
Berlin's club culture thrives on change. New sounds emerge, scenes influence each other, and new ideas develop from encounters.
That's precisely why we keep the M-BIA open. We support established communities while simultaneously giving new artists, collectives, promoters, and musical movements their space. Differences and even friction are welcome. Because change begins where the familiar is questioned and new perspectives collide.
For us, club culture therefore also means bringing together people who think, listen, and party differently. Mutual respect and the willingness to meet each other halfway and discover new things are crucial.
For us, this openness is part of a club culture that is constantly evolving.
AFTER THE SILENCE
Berlin's nightlife has changed drastically during the pandemic. We, too, had to consider what direction we wanted to take with our beloved M-BIA.
Together we have decided to open our club more to new musical developments and to give space to young collectives and promoters.
Hard Bounce, Reverse Bass, and harder styles found a platform with us early on. Many of these sounds have since evolved significantly and are now an integral part of the international club scene. Artists like Adrian Mills exemplify this era and a generation that brought new musical influences to Berlin.
This period was important for us. It showed that change is possible when one is willing to question the familiar. Therefore, we want to continue running M-BIA as a central and accessible place that remains open to exploring new paths and resisting stagnation.
WHERE IT'S GOING
How our M-BIA will sound in a few years is still an open question. That's precisely the mission: to find out. And there shouldn't be a definitive answer to that question today.
M-BIA is meant to remain a club that can evolve. A place where diverse perspectives find a home and the status quo is constantly challenged. New sounds are deliberately given a chance, even when there's still a lot of resistance. Because for us, music is allowed to provoke. The sound can be unconventional. The dance floor can surprise. And a night can end differently than expected.
We are all the more delighted by every guest, artist, organizer, and partner who shares this energy with us. Don't rest on your laurels. We, too, are constantly evolving.

Our beloved M-BIA is part of the electronic club culture in the heart of East Berlin at Alexanderplatz. We are loud, open to ideas, and constantly evolving. Between techno, psytrance, hardtekk, and harder sounds, we create nights where music, space, light, and the audience come together.
As part of Berlin, we understand our club culture as a vibrant process that focuses on being particularly diverse and respectful. Just as we perceive Berlin: colorful, loud, vibrant, and always a little different.
